Restoring Hearts Indigenous Ministries (RHIM) brings to you hope and healing through our Great Healer, Jesus our Creator

More About Restoring Hearts

Restoring Hearts Indigenous Ministries is a Christian podcast created for Indigenous people who need healing through Jesus and God’s Word so that their broken hearts and lives may be restored. Our goal is to make our podcast a Christian community for and by First Peoples, although we welcome the support of our non-indigenous brothers and sisters. You will hear our People throughout the episodes share messages from God’s Word, relate their own personal stories, tell us of answered prayer, and singing gospel and other Christian songs. There will be some who say some words in their own language, others who share traditional knowledge, and yet others who tell of practical resources available to our People. Our website also includes Native New Day Bible Studies and videos which are designed especially for Native people. The host of Restoring Hearts Indigenous Ministries is Oneida and Abenaki First Nation member Liz Obomsawin.

More About Restoring Hearts

Your host, Liz Obomsawin, is a member of the Oneida Indian Nation in the U.S. Northeast and the Abenaki First Nation in Quebec. Her experience in Native Ministries includes helping to establish a Native American Church, speaking to church congregations and at Native camp meetings, giving Bible studies, visiting homes, helping in Native food pantries, and in soup kitchens. Liz has a background in video production, and has also assisted with the Native New Day and the Native New Health videos, which are featured on this website.

Yet, it Liz’s personal experience with answered prayers, her faith in God’s word, and her love for the First Peoples in Canada and the United States that most qualifies her for this endeavor.

Liz has written a book called, The Moccasin Trail to Heaven, which is a step-by-step guide to show our Indigenous people how they can come to Jesus and walk with Him all the way to heaven. It will be available soon.

Liz takes Jesus’ final command to take His message of peace and salvation to all nations as a very personal call to take the gospel message to every Indigenous nation in North America. In the wake of oppressive colonialism, horrific residential school systems, and also with the wounds and scars we all suffer just living in this sinful world, there are many broken hearts that can only be restored by Jesus. It is her prayer and the prayer of the entire RHIM team that our ministry will do just that.
